December, 1947. Jerusalem is under siege. Following the UN resolution on November 29, 1947, on the partition of Palestine to 2 countries, a struggle for roads and traffic arteries leading to Jerusalem began. The roads leading there were blocked in order to sever the connection between them and the Jewish communities' settlements. Armored vehicles were the only way to reach the city and bring food, medicine, as well as weapons to the Jewish community there.
