Easy to guess that the anonymous character walking past this photo is a yemenite man that arrived in the country as a part of one of the immigration operations Israel enacted in the late 40s. The real star of this scene is actually our friend the noble lulav, being held in his hand like a sword, a flag or a torch. A curious meeting is created between the traditional and the modern - the building, the bicycle and the shop window are a silent backdrop to a religious man in a djellaba on his way to a ceremony in a sukkah.
