Summer 1950, Kibbutz Erez. Five couples, members of the Kibbutz, are married in 5 simultaneous weddings. The celebrations include piles of straw and festive gunshots into the air, and Rudi as the wedding photographer. In this picture that we recently discovered in our archive, two of the blushing brides appear in simple white dresses and makeup-less faces and their grooms, in festive long trousers and closed shoes! You can almost feel the wind, moving the curls on their foreheads, lifting their short, white veils.
