Strange and Interesting

I'm not sure exactly what this device is / what it was used for. I would like to think that as you turn the key it straightens your back more and more, cracks your joints and makes your life better.

I know that if I will say that this is my favorite picture in the entire archive, you will think I'm joking or weird and I have no interest in that, so I won't say a thing. I just will just say that this picture is great.
